ST PETER’S MINI FẾTE
October 24th, 2009

On 24 October 2009 our parish will be holding its annual mini fête at the Scout Hall on the corner of Rountree Road and Sicklemore Street, Brentwood.  The fête will be from 8 am until 1 pm.

Many bargains will be available from the White Elephant and Hardware Stall and, of course, there will be the usual home-made jams, conserves, cakes and biscuits.

While you catch your breath you may wish to indulge in the Devonshire teas/coffees which will also be available.

Those who have a sweet tooth may wish to buy some chocolates and there will be also some delicious home-made fudge which was very popular at the last fête.

The first prize in the raffle is a bottle of white wine, a bottle of red wine and a rather large basketful of groceries.  The second prize consists of a bottle of red wine and a smaller basketful of groceries.  There is no doubt that the lucky winners will be absolutely delighted with the prizes.

Peggy Kitchen will have an extensive selection of costume jewellery for sale at bargain prices.

For the first time we will have a “Kids’ Corner”.  There will be dolls, costumes – perhaps something for the Christmas stocking?

There will also be plants, books, craft – in fact too many items to list – and just remember, all our plants come with a guarantee that they will not die before you reach home!!

In case you feel like something to nibble on while wandering around the various stalls, you are invited to purchase some of our delectable hot dogs which will be cooked by our very experienced chefs (they did them last year and we didn’t have any complaints!) on the premises.

All proceeds raised will benefit our Building and Development Fund.
