Confirmation is essential for those who wish to be admitted to Holy Communion in our Church.  This sacrament “confirms and seals” our baptism and is administered by a Bishop. 

Those who have been confirmed by a Bishop of the Roman Catholic Church and those who were confirmed in the Anglican Church of Australia prior to 1992 are regarded as having validly received the sacrament of confirmation. 

We also admit to Holy Communion those in the Roman Catholic Church who have been admitted to the sacrament of Penance and Peace, on the proviso that it is their intention to be confirmed.
